luthiers
The “Santiago de Cecilia” guitar workshop was created in 2003 by María Cecilia Saenz Rols and Juan Santiago Canals after studying and working in different guitar workshops where they learn the trade. In our workshop we try to reflect the search and needs of the guitarist by building classical concert guitars, made and varnished by hand using traditional lutheria techniques. Currently the workshop is located within the Poble Espanyol de Barcelona...."The construction of a Concert Guitar consists of elaborating a chain of procedures where an objective is always present, it is the sound objective that leads us to develop different types of research to obtain our result, where each organic part of the instrument will form a consistent whole with the personal search and the one that disturbs and moves the guitarist, that is why it is necessary to unite and dialogue between these two trades, where both are enriched, guitarist and guitar player
